Welcome to the Rouge Stories blog!
My name is Kasim and I work with the environmental organization Wildlands League. My job to raise awareness on wildlife conservation among the diverse cultural communities of Toronto. My favorite way of teaching about the environment is through storytelling.
One of my projects is to develop interest among visible minorities for wildlife conservation in the Rouge Valley in east Toronto. This blog site is a place where the biological and cultural diversity around the Rouge Valley are celebrated in order that we as a community may protect it. I believe that this must be done by involving and engaging the diverse communities who live in the area. It is our vision that the communities living in this area may find a place in their very neigbourhood where they encounter peace and spiritual renewal among the Carolinian forests while acting as protectors of its wildlife.
